He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Padgett and Zona Padgett; and his brother Denny Padgett. He is survived by: his children, Kristin (Keith), Stephanie (Forrest) and Preston (Sarah); his grandsons, Harris and Wells; his wife Patricia Floyd of Leesburg, Florida.; and his sister Ann Rita.
In lieu of flowers, the family plans to set up a scholarship fund in support of Pahokee High School students.
