She was predeceased by: her parents, Roean Morgan and Nellie Morgan (Gray); her husband Tom "Shorty" Mercer; and her son Terry Sterling Mercer. She is survived by: her daughter Nancy Mercer of Hosford; and her siblings, Roy Thomas Morgan of Havana, Silas Edward Morgan of Tallahassee, James Henry Morgan of Wakulla, John Solomon Morgan of Boise, Idaho, Nellie Marie Morgan, Rose Ann Barnhill of Monticello and Julia Jeanette Morgan of Crawfordville. She is also survived by three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
