He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold K. Speed and Eunice M. Speed; and his siblings, Arlene Henderson, Richard and Donald.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Pioterek; and his children, Kenneth (Deborah), Terry (Kathleen) and Diana Caccamise. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and a sister-in-law.
