He was predeceased by: his brothers, Bruce, Jimmy and Johnny Loveland. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, Richard Loveland (Marie Christine) of Florida, Leroy Loveland, Jr. (Eleanor) of Florida and Kenneth Loveland (Taria) of Tennessee; and his brother Fred Loveland of South Carolina.
