It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane Gleason Sr. of Homosassa, Florida, who passed away on December 9, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Major Gleason and Dorothy Hempstead; and his sisters, Ardeth (George Steeneck) and Elizabeth Richardson Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Susan Champagne Gleason; his children, Gail Gleason Wheeler (Lance), Wendy Gleason Delamater, Duane Franklin Gleason Jr. (Rebecca), John Champagne (Cindy) and Brian Champagne (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Morganne, Cameron Wheeler, Jamie Pratt, Bradley Delamater, Jacqueline Delamater Nesbitt, Olivia, Logan Gleason, Kaitlin, Blake Champagne and Tyler Collins; his sister Evelyn Rowe; his sister-in-law Lisa Gale Peery (Phillip); his cousin Alice Gilberg; and his friend Jerry Tettery. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
