He was predeceased by: his daughter Karen Swanson; and his brother Eugene Reid. He is survived by: his wife Doris Elizabeth Reid (Fisher); his son Barry Reid (Christiane) of Fort Myers, FL; his son-in-law John Swanson of Ringgold, GA; his sister Annie Ruth; his sister-in-law Sylvia Bach (Bob) of Livonia, MI; his grandchildren, Ashley Torres (Danny), Jeremy Swanson (Sarah), Carmen Schaumburg (Robert) and Brittany Anderson (Brent); and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Emelia Torres, Lily Swanson, Georgia, Alexandra Schaumburg, Blakely and Barrett Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Grove Level Baptist Church, 2802 Cleveland Hwy, Dalton, GA 30721.
