He was predeceased by: his daughter Joanna Torres. He is survived by: his significant other Carmen Luisa Heredia; his children, Arleen Rivera (Moises Rivera) and Michael Torres; and his grandchildren, Stacy, Moses, Yoshabel, Michael, Katelyn, Zephra, Anram, Kayla and Jael. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.

Israel donated to countless charity organizations and was quick to help anyone in need.
