It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Annette S. Best (Homeland, Florida), born in Evergreen, Alabama, who passed away on June 23, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Samuel C. Sowell and Anna Cromwell Sowell; her husband Thomas Jefferson Best, Jr.; and her siblings, Ollen Sowell, Charles Sowell and Faye McDaniel.

She is survived by : her children, Brenda McNabb, Howard Best, Wayne Best, Bruce Best and Janet Phillips; and her siblings, Nadine McLain, Ray Sowell and Robert Sowell. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Homeland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to any hospice of your choice.
