It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Hanes (Hollywood, Florida), born in Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on April 14, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his children, Bill (Darlene) and Heidi (Frank); his grandchildren, Danny, Andrew, Ali, Coral, Frankie and Nathan; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Haleigh, Jackson, Mylo, Harrison, Maverick, Hudson, Clara and Marlie; his children, Bob, Jackie, Billy and Danny; his wife Jean; and his siblings, Bob and Jackie.
In his honor a scholarship fund benefitting future educators has been established through the Broward Education Foundation. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts and donations be offered to fund this scholarship.
