“It is with great sadness I learn of my long time friend's passing. We were part of a group of young teachers in Buffalo who began our lifelong friendship working after university study. A special group of us shared many dinners and trips together, including Mexico, but most of all a sense of support and care as young people making our way. Louise was not only intelligent but a good listener with a smile and a giggle offering an upbeat alternative. Joe Shanahan”
