She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Raymond Bailey.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Timothy Coughlin; daughter, Amber Wade; 4 grandsons; niece, Holly Apetz; 3 great-nephews; 1 great-niece and her canine companion, Bailey Ray.

“The memories that she left with me will be passed down for generations. My aunt Joy was more than just an aunt. She was my mother's identical twin sister. I lost my mother 14 years ago and aunt Joy has been like a mother to me and a Nana especially to my daughter. She had happy feet, gift of gab, the lady that she is, and a social butterfly. Anyone that knew her has heard of the five things that my Nana gave to my aunt. I'm missing the 5th one. She will be in my heart forever and missed.”
