He is survived by: his wife Lercida Salazar Rodgers; his children, Marlon Acosta (Martha), Jose Ricardo Acosta, Keyra Acosta and Dareen Acosta; his sisters, Antonia Acosta and Iris Falcon; his stepdaughters, Maria Miranda and Claudia Miranda; and his stepgrandchildren, Juan Diego Vanessa, Mario Luis Perez, Natalia Perez, Alejandra Parga and Carlos Parga. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
