He is survived by: his significant other Maedeen Pace; his brother Bob Steele (Helen) of South Carolina; his children, James J. Steele, Jr. (Kathy), Mary Spurlock (Wayne), Donnie Steele and Brian Steele (Ami); and his grandchildren, Cheran Burns (Jarrod), Joshua Steele (Loren) of Kyle Skinner, A. J, Madison Skinner, Michael Skinner, Bre Paider, Lana Ulloa (Wilson) and Parker Steele. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
