He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl S. Lawson and Lula B. Lawson (Combs); his daughter Kimberly Dawn "Kim" Hickman; and his siblings, Maxie Gordon Lawson, Julie, Margaret G. Reynolds (Lawson), Winiferd O. "Wendy" Hammons (Lawson) and Carl Gene Lawson, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Lawson (Spellman) of Hollister, FL; his children, Steven Willis (Janice) of Brownstown, IN, David Lawson (Christal) of Rising Sun, IN, Donald Lawson (Marilyn) of Vevay, IN and Sheila Kay Lawson of Scottsburg, IN; his grandchildren, Charles Lawson (Breanna), Justin Lawson, Elexis Lawson, Christopher Campbell and Tiffany Campbell; and his siblings, Myrlene Spicer (James) of Austin, IN, Linda Sue Lawson of Austin, IN and Bobby Lawson (Ella) of Austin, IN. He is also survived by his several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home (208 Ferry St, Vevay, IN 47043). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
