Louella Marie Perdue Obituary
God needed another angel. Louella Marie Perdue (Deville), at the age of 77, gained her wings as she passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 12, 2023.
She had a heart of gold and was an amazing grandmother, mother, wife, sister, friend, and so much more. Louella always let her light shine for Jesus and led many people to the Lord. She was always praying with family and reading stories about Christ at every Christmas gathering. She was an inspiration to all those who knew her. Louella was a very strong minded and determined women. She was selfless in the way that she always made herself available to her family, especially her grandchildren. She was the anchor of our family and always put her family at the core of her priorities.
Louella will be dearly missed by everyone whose heart she touched. She will always be remembered as a kind and strong woman who impacted the lives of many people. May you rest in peace until we meet again.
Louella was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Perdue; parents, Alice Fontenot and Cammey Deville; and siblings, Jessie Deville, Jane Deville, and Bernita Deville. She leaves behind her children, Melissa Perdue Whitlock Kelly and husband Dion Kelly, Melinda Perdue Olsker and husband Bobby Olsker, and Richard L. Perdue, Jr. and wife Catheryn Perdue; brother, Cammey Deville, Jr. and wife Carol ; sister, Carol Vidrine; grandchildren, Wesley Whitlock, Ashlee Victoria Perdue, Kayla Olsker, Ciara Perdue, Kelsey Olsker, Sheyenne Perdue, and Savannah Perdue; step-grandchildren, Cady Parker and Tyler Kelly; great-grandchildren, Willow Whitlock, Colin Whitlock, and Clover Whitlock; step-great-grandchildren because she loved them all, Lexius Cruz, Kaden Kelly, Emma Cruz, Easten Kelly, Aria Kelly, and Levi Parker; and many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Mr. Rob Quam officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Wales Cemetery. Following the service and interment, a reception will be held at First Baptist Church of Lake Wales.
