George W. Beal Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 14, 2024, at the age of 80, George W. Beal of Hobe Sound, Florida, born in Liberty, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Beal and Flora Beal (McFarland); and his brother John Beal. He is survived by: his brothers, David, Jim, Jerry, Ken and Harold Beal; his children, Michele Purnell, Holly Moore and Scott Purnell; and his grandsons, George, Jamie and Joshua Purnell. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
George also received an award from the US government for his contribution to science while designing a pulse detonating engine.
