He is survived by: his significant other Barbara Lois Eddleman; his children, Sam "Trip" Pottinger III (Roxie) and Kathy Sue Butler (Allan); and his grandchildren, Eric Pottinger, Whitney Jones, Morgan Terry (Steven), Christian Pottinger, Brad Butler (Brynne) and Barbie Butler. He is also survived by parents and 4 sisters and one brother.
