She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Macon Carter and Nancy Naomi Edenfield-Carter; her husband John Crockett Gray, Sr.; her brothers, Hubert, David, Mitchell and Everette Carter; and her granddaughters, Theresa Hodges and Jessica Gray.
She is survived by: her children, Jan Hodges (Aldean), Johnny Gray (Shelly) and Joey Gray (Melissa); her grandchildren, Cole Hodges (James Wronowski), Trenton Hodges (Mat Stillwell), Justin, Kyle Gray, Tyler Gray (Mindy), Mindy Turner, Chelsea Baker (David), Sydney Tollick (Jason), Bradley Reynolds, Heather Carter (Chris) and Hannah Bowie (Michael); her great grandchildren, Kelilah, Jackson, Tucker Gray, Violet Baker, Liam, Stella Carter, Brandon, Olivia Tollick, Jade and Levi Bowie; her siblings, Gracie Lee Turner, Euna Faye Williams, Emma Jane Bogers (Robert), Marion Carter (Velma), Henry Carter (Diane), Tommy Carter (Wendy) and Quitman Carter (Linda); and her sister-in-law Olivia Carter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
