He was predeceased by: his parents, T. C. Mason and Dorothy Wilcox Mason; his brother Elden Mason; and his niece Ashli James. He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Rentz (Glenn), Steven Mason (Rhonda), Pamela Nelson and Brian Mason; his sister Joyce James of Rochelle; his sisters-in-law, Lynne Duggan of Riceville and Bella Mason of Cincinnati; his niece Megan James of Ponte Vedra; his grandchildren, Adria Youngblood, Ryan Mason, Halston Nelson, Christian Nelson, Joe Nelson and Zachary Mason; and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Elijah, Micah, Bella, Hoss, Dallas and Delaney.
