He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Harris and Estelle Hendrix Harris; his siblings, Mitchell Harris, Faye Harris-McLaurin and Mary Alice Manning; his brother-in-law Carroll "Hoppy" Manning; his grandson Zane Harris; his nephews, James Elton Harris, Jr. and Carl Burnette; and his sister-in-law Janice Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Caroline Harris; his children, Greg Harris (Kristen), Treana Jackson (Gene) and Carol Jean Harris; his siblings, Elton Harris, Beatrice Cowart (Jimmy) and Maxine Everly (Johnny); his sister-in-law Debbie Woehrle (Dean); and his grandchildren, Courtney, Brianna, Zach, Erynn, Karyn, Abby and Elayna. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
