It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward Lee Stroud of Hilliard, Florida, born in Tabor City, North Carolina, who passed away on February 16, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Stroud and Agnes Stroud; his parents-in-law, Albert and Jessie Brown; his brothers, Alton and Jimmy Stroud; his children, Sherri Stroud Adams and Jeffrey Stroud; and his granddaughter Jessica Stroud King.

He is survived by: his wife Debra Brown Stroud; his sisters-in-law, Barbara Stroud (Alton) and Sandy Brown Barber; his siblings, Betty Volkner (Paul) and Joe Stroud; his grandchildren, Shelby Rhoden, Nick Stroud and Kyle Murphey; and his great grandchild Anthony King. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory can be made to the American Cancer Society.
