He was predeceased by: his parents, David H. Buchanan, Jr. (Buck) and Martha Lillian Walker Buchanan (Great); his wife Joyce Ann Buchanan (Mimi); and his sister Melanie Hoover. He is survived by: his children, Marella Hunter (Dallis), Hucks Buchanan (Elizabeth), Ben Buchanan (Sarah), Isaac, Lydia, Hannah, Luke, Molly, Walker, Noah (Bri), Anna, Gary Buchanan (Ginger) and Sara Michaels (Don). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
