He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Schechter and Hilda Schechter; and his son-in-law Edward Adler. He is survived by: his wife Linda Schechter (Vinocur); his children, Sandy Adler, Marc Schechter (Marcie), Ruth Pomish (Robert) and David Schechter (Lori); his stepchildren, Steven Sherman and Stacy Sherman; his grandchildren, Robert Adler (Michelle), Jeffrey Adler, Dayna Adler, Erin Schechter (Matt Rocco), Alex Schechter (Ali), Jessica Pomish (Kory Manuel), Nicole Pomish, Julie Schechter (Andrew Kerr), Jody Schechter (Jason Baldachino), Sam Egar and Sophie Egar; his great grandchildren, Edison, Cassidy, Shiloh Adler, Harper, Jake Rocco and Graham Schechter; and also Flore Jeffson.

The family is requesting that all attendees be vaccinated and please wear a mask.

“To all of you. I have known your father for 60 years. I worked for him when I was 17 years old at Rose Jewelers. He was a dynamic and energetic man. He kept in touch with me through the years, he also attended my wedding at age of 21, birth of my children. He was filled with humor..I was aware of his failing health, it has been most painful learning of his death. His memory will remain eternally in my heart as I say the Psalms for his soul and his family. Dianna Metry Eppens”
