She was predeceased by: her brother Danny James. She is survived by: her spouse Colin Earl; her children, Tracie Bishop (Brian) of Parsonsburg, MD and Stuart Earl (Tammie) of Land; her brother Keith James (Inga) of England; and her grandchildren, Colin Earl, Austin Earl and Jessica Bishop.

In lieu of flowers, Doreen's family has requested that memorial donations be made to the , P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011.
