He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin W. Holland and Evelyn Rose Holland; his former wife Brenda Washburn Holland; his son Calvin James Holland Jr. (CJ); and his sister Cynthia Holland.

He is survived by: his daughter Renee Ann Holland Starling (Daina Coleman Starling); his wife Gladys Moore; his stepdaughters, Cynthia Moore Selby (Rick) and Kristi Moore; his son Robert James Holland (Karen Buckley); his grandchildren, Lindsay Starling Jantscheck (Mathew Guay), Phillip Starling and Nicholas Desroberts; his great grandchildren, Michael McAuliff, Danika Janstchek, Mavrick Janstcheck and Beckett Holland; his sisters, Cherie Logue (Joseph Logue) and Cathy Petrosky (Dale Petrosky); and also, Justin Holland (Jenny Snay), Jenna Lee Holland (Joshua Barsch), Bjorn Barsch and Louie.
