He is survived by: his wife Mary Violet Lord Davis; his son David Earl Davis (Candy); his granddaughter Sarah Catherine Davis; his great grandchild Luke Ryant Defend; his children, Iris Catherine Mercier, Jordan Mercier (Bekah) and Taylor Nipper; and his siblings, Haywood Davis (Carolyn), Danny Davis, Sarah Clapp, Tempe, Barbara Peters and Sheila Miller Ridgely (Scott).
