With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Jane Yancey (Havana, Florida), who passed away on January 11, 2020 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Jackson and Della Jane Holmes May; her husband William Lawrence Yancey; her grandson Jeffery Lassiter; her siblings, Hilda May Porter (Arthur), Ada Fay Britt (Louis), James Willard May (Ella Fosteen), Jackson Harold May (Vernie Lucille) and Beth May Walden; and her sister-in-law Marie May.
She is survived by: her children, Marcia Wilke (Wayne), Jackie Lassiter, Gloria Henderson (Jerry), Gary Yancey (Judy) and Doyle Yancey (Audrey); her grandchildren, Michael Lassiter (Wendy), Brian Lassiter (Monica), Romney Atkinson (Jennifer), Matthew Yancey, Chauncy Chanin (Grant), Josh Yancey (Brooke), Jacob Wilke (Andi), Andrew Yancey, Ian Yancey, Ethan Yancey and Owen Yancey; her great grandchildren, Cade, Quinn, Skye, Beau Lassiter, Mckale, Philip, Malachi, Jeremiah, Jael, Benjamin, Rebeckah Lassiter, Ashlyn, Landon Yancey, Reece, Piper Atkinson, Laine McGregor Tobin Wilke and Eden Wilke; her great great grandchildren, Levi, Hunter and Bella McGregor; and her brother Hoyett L. May. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
