She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. Brooks and Anna Rycroft; her grandson Michael Lee Baker; and her brothers, Everett Brooks and Kermit Brooks.
She is survived by: her stepfather James Denby; her husband David Ras Baker; her children, Kenny Baker (Elsie) of Tallahassee, Mike Baker (Trish) of Tallahassee, Edmond Baker (Kathy) of Crawfordville, Tim Baker, Alex Baker, Charlotte Stephens, Michele Davis (Leland), Barbara Vaughan (Broderick), Susan Baker Connell and Becky Stephens; her sister Mary Allen (Carlton) of Tallahassee; and her half-brother Alton Brooks of Jacksonville, Florida.. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren.
