He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Nelson Irvin and Mary Smith Irvin; and his children, Richard E. Irvin, Jr. and Roberta Irvin Fooks. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Kaiser Irvin; his grandchildren, Allesha Irvin Schirmer (Chris), Leslie Irvin Goldstein (David), Richard E. Irvin, III (Alicia), Ashley Irvin Franke (Mike) and Amy Saucerman; and his friends, Charles, Edna Johnson, Bennie, Martha Singleton, Joe and Kay Roberts. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, numerous loving nieces and nephews.
