She is survived by: her husband Ken Higgins; her children, Shannon Higgins and John Higgins; her daughter-in-law Amy; and her sisters, Nellie, Nita, Nancy and Edith.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or the Humane Society of Polk County.
