He was predeceased by: his parents, Gale Shumaker and Jessie Shoemaker Shumaker Cocke; and his siblings, William Shumaker and Marjorie Wachtman. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Wistinghausen; his children, Peggy Bertucca (Jim), Gale Shumaker and Harley Shumaker Jr. (Jill); his grandsons, Christopher Holt, Alexander Shumaker and Colby Shumaker; and his siblings, Joan Seibel, Art Shumaker (Linda Warren) and Hal Shumaker (Marilyn).
