With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Whisnant of Gulf Breeze, Florida, born in Canton, Mississippi, who passed away on April 9, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Orville Horne and Loraine Horne; her siblings, William O. Horne and NJ; her husband Jimmy Alfred Whisnant; her daughters, Linda Whisnant and Carolyn W. Rogers; and her grandchildren, Naaman Smith, Brian Rogers and Jessica Rogers.
Viewing was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church (75 Fairpoint Dr, Gulf Breeze, FL 32561). A graveside service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Rose Lawn Funeral Home (2942 Gulf Breeze Pkwy, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563).
