With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gehazel Sims of Greenwood, Florida, who passed away on October 15, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her brother Edward Sims (Eloise) of Irvington; her brother-in-law Jimmy Golden of East Orange; and her children, Cynthia Sims of Marianna, Florida, Celeste Myrick (Curtis Sr.) of Marianna, Florida, Gwen S. Long (William) of Marianna, Florida, Hakim Shaheed (Sakeenah) of Miami, Robin Sims of Greenwood and Reginald Sims of Austin, Texas. She was also cherished by 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
