She is survived by: her husband Willie James Smith; her children, Cassandra Smith and Willie Lamar Smith; her grandchildren, Marquez Smith (Jessie), Carlos Smith and Darion Perry; her great grandchildren, Marquez Jr., Makayla, K'maia and Akari Smith; and her siblings, Sandra C. Spates (Johnny), Vanessa Young, Lorraine Newman, Terri C. Bradford and Larry Clayton. She is also survived by cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

Mrs. Bettye requested direct cremation and a Memorial Service will be held post pandemic.
