He is survived by: his wife Dana M. McGovern; and his children, Joseph P. McGovern, Jr. (Sue), Sean McGovern (Cindy), Timothy McGovern (Kathy Sue), Dana McGovern and Brian McGovern (Laura). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
