She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Willie Lee Simmons and Fannie Lee McCray; her siblings, Tyrone Simmons and Linda Simmons; her wife Kartina Simmons; her children, Johnny Batts (Denese), Mark Vickers, Ticoi Brown-Spell (Karenski, Jr.), Markayla Vickers (Sidney) and Markeila Vickers; her grandchildren, Yaneli Cordoba-Batts, Kionne Spell, Malian Jolley, Ny'lan Boone, D'Amarie Willis, Karenski Spell, III and Ka'vion Spell; her siblings, Tracy Pinkston (Andrew), Tlisa McCray, Latasha Durham (Lyndon), Felicity Cobb (Clarance), Roegina Simmons, Marlena Simmons, Melinda Harvey, Jeremiah Simmons, Johnny Simmons (Queen), Terry Simmons (April), Brian Simmons (Peter), Leon Hill (Marie) and Luke Simmons (Kathy); and her mother-in-law Mattie Evans. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and close friends.
