She was predeceased by: her parents, John Walton and Eva Mae Bland; and her siblings, Cheryl and James. She is survived by: her husband Robert Michael; her sons, Ted William Spencer and Terrence Michael Forbis (Michelle); and her siblings, Raymond Bland (Faye), Keith Bland (Joyce) and Patricia Campesi of Marrero, Louisiana.. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and many cousins and nieces and nephews.
