He is survived by: his parents, Richard Wayne Nelson, Sr. and Bessie Frances Nelson (Jackson); his significant other Ashley Robinson; his sons, Richie III and Malachi; his sister Haley Salas (David); his niece Parker; and his grandmother Gail Jackson. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
