She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Edenfield and Lela Edenfield; her husband Melburn Carter Sr.; her siblings, Edward Edenfield, Roy Edenfield, Joseph Edenfield and Eunice Taylor; her daughter Lisa Sutherland; and her granddaughter Shannon Smyth.
She is survived by: her siblings, Timmy Edenfield (Debbie), Hazel Beasley, Donna McCoy and Angie Nation (Ray); her children, Melburn Carter Jr. (Amy) and Robin Husted (Randy); and her grandchildren, Amber Williams (Claude), Jessica Batton (David), Randy Husted (Rebekah), Cheyenne Husted-Kruger (Shawn), Zachrey Carter, Kelsey Carter, Wesley Carter, Lily Carter and Tobey Carter. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Broadus-Raines Chapel (501 Spring St, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Shiloh Baptist Church (1055 Co Rd 226, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at the Shiloh Cemetery (1055 Co Rd 226, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043).
