He was predeceased by: his parents, Hunter Badger and Ollie Badger; and his brother James "Jim" Badger. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Alford Badger; his children, John Hunter Badger, Jr. (Heather) of Fleming Island, FL and Martha Badger Short (Spike); and his grandchildren, Caden Badger, Kole Badger, Syra Short and Seton Short.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Hibernia Baptist Church (7100 Hwy 17, Fleming Island, FL 32003). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Airline Baptist Church (200 NE County Rd 354, Mayo, FL 32066).
