He was predeceased by: his son Jake Glisson; his parents, Hennon Glisson and Lois Glisson; and his siblings, Theron Glisson, Sheila Glisson, Shirley Baker and George Glisson.

He is survived by: his wife Pamela Sue Glisson (Pulliam); his children, Daphne Gibson (Jeremy) and Luke Glisson (Tonya); his grandchildren, Lahryn Davis (Steve), Alicia Adams (Mikey) and Jared Glisson; his great grandchildren, Waylon Van Tol and Callie Adams; and his sisters, Faye Bland (Raymond), Eva Mitchell (Robert) and Ann Glisson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
