He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lillian Cercy and James West, Sr.; his brothers, Edward West and William West; his fiancée Sandra Knowles-Smith; his children, Angel Bollinger and James D. West III; and his brothers, Joseph West and John West. He was also cherished by four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
