He is survived by: his mother Margaret Stafford of Tallahassee, FL; his son Charles Frederick Brooks of Grand Ridge, FL; his brothers, Gary Bates (Mikki) of Michigan, Joseph Bates (Betty) of Georgia, Daniel Hebets of Michigan and Keith Hebets (Nilia) of Florida; his grandchild Destiny Paige Floyd; and his great grandchild Ellabeth Irene Floyd.
