It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah T. Hughes of Grand Ridge, Florida, born in Lakeland, Florida, who passed away on October 8, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John D. Hughes; her parents, William Russell Talley Sr. and Hattie Mae Benton Talley; and her siblings, Elizabeth Talley, William Russell Talley Jr., Elsie Talley McLain and Bonnie Talley Dunaway.
She is survived by: her brother George Talley (Judy) of Dothan; her children, Latilda Hughes-Neel (Bruce) of Freeport, Joel Hughes (Mellody) of DeFuniak Springs, Melissa Hughes-McCall (Kurt) of Middleburg and Eric Hughes (Elizabeth) of Cleveland, Georgia; and her grandchildren, Adam Capshaw, Zachary Henninger, Ashton Hughes, Jasmine Goodwin, Delia McCall, Cameron McCall, Tiffany Hughes, Cody Hughes and Alan Hughes. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted; however, donations to Gideon International or the South Walton First Baptist Church on the Bay's Food Ministry would be appreciated.
