He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred J. Tyre and Nellie Dykes Tyre; his wife Doris O'Bryan Tyre; his daughters, Susan Skinner of Grand Ridge, Darlene Bishop (Mark) of Greer, SC, Saundra Thigpen (Trent) of Jacksonville, Julie Potter (Eddie) of Marianna and Vanessa Bishop (Matt) of Grand Ridge; the mother of his children Barbara Tyre of Marianna; his siblings, Edmond Tyre (Lenoria) of Frink, FL, Sonjia Lee (Roger) of Panama City and Monicia Tyre of Grand Ridge; and his grandfather Hammerknocker. He was also cherished by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
