David Eugene Matthews Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 12, 2025, at the age of 81, David Eugene Matthews (Grand Ridge, Florida) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Matthews and Claudia Matthews; his daughter Melinda Matthews; and his sisters, Wynelle Ethridge and Genelle Glass.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Howell Matthews; his children, Belinda Stephens (Tony) and Michael Matthews; his grandchildren, Caleb Stephens (Casey), Hannah Cotton (Joshua) and Rebecca Long; and his siblings-in-law, Donald Ethridge, Carolyn Morgan and Dorothy Howell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Calendar Welcome Assembly of God Church (6784 Messer Rd, Grand Ridge, FL 32442). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at the same location.
