He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Richards (Charlie) and Lola Gurtrude Broxton Richards. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Dewey Richards of Grand Ridge; his children, Lola Fulmer (Matt) of Quincy, FL and Curtis Gator Richards (Ret); his stepchildren, Tracy Cummings (QB) of Sneads, FL and Byron Jeter (Polly) of Altha, FL; and his sister Carolyn Vickery of Live Oak, FL.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
