He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Jefferson and Mattie Davis (Dowling); his son-in-law William Wesley "Woody" Mason; and his siblings, Wilbur, Carlton, Ernest, Albert, Raph and Irene Blaha.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Davis; his children, Jean Kendrick (Jim) of Graham, Kay Mason of Graham and Harold Davis (Ruth) of Graham; and his brother Alvin Davis of Hawthorne. He is also survived by his six grandsons, sixteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
