She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Simon Sloan and Imogene Mullis Sloan; her children, James Ray "Jamie" Shipes and Donna Kay Pelham; and her siblings, Anne Henderson and Bobby Head.
She is survived by: her children, John Keith Shipes (Vicki) and Cynthia Annette "Cindy" Patrick; and her siblings, Frank Sloan (Glenda) and Julia "Dollie" Cochran of Tampa, FL. She is also survived by five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
