With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thais Wingert Burt (Gotha, Florida), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2025 at the age of 93. As Thais Wingert departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Thais Wingert. Though Thais Wingert may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Wingert and Carrie Wingert; her husband Jim Burt; her brothers, Kenneth Wingert, Milton Wingert and Sheldon Wingert; her stepdaughter Janice Meek; and her stepgranddaughter Trina Meek.

She is survived by: her brothers, Lamar Wingert and Vernon Wingert; her stepdaughter Judy Burt; her stepgrandson Joey Meister; and her stepgreat-grandson Megregor Meek. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the South Ferncreek Community Church (3839 S Ferncreek Ave, Orlando, FL 32806).
